Del Sol Martial Arts & Fitness offers classes for all ages and abilities and is always age appropriate.
Preschool
Ages 4-5
This high energy skills based class will have your little one working on core skills like Focus, Teamwork, Memory, Balance, Coordination, Fitness, Control and Discipline, all while having the time of their lives. In this class, students focus on the basics of being in a class setting, listening actively, following directions and problem solving through our varied drills and rotating skills. This program is a great place to start your little one. It also is a springboard for all of our other programs that change as your child grows.


Youth Kung Fu
Ages 6-8
This program is designed for little ones just getting into the martial arts and is the class that our preschool students graduate into. In this class, your child will move beyond the average range of flexibility, fitness, body awareness, and focus. Here is where the real Kung Fu training begins. Students begin working on forms, choreographed empty hand and weapon sets that are, in some cases, over 400 years old. They begin working on self defense drills that become the foundation for the higher levels that they will reach later in their training both mental and physical, as individuals and martial artists.


Junior Kung Fu
Ages 9-13 In the Juniors class the journey continues. As your child begins to mature as a person and soon-to-be young adult they begin to focus more on the life skills and philosophy of Kung Fu. They begin to understand that learning Kung Fu doesn’t mean they only have to be good in Kung Fu class, but at home, at school, everywhere they go. They begin to know what it is like to be a part of something bigger than themselves and that they have a responsibilty to their families and their goals especially as they begin to focus on their Black Belt. It is also in the Juniors class where we introduce weapons training for the first time. The Junior class also begins working on more advanced self defense techniques and principles as they deepen their understanding and execution of the movements in our Art.

The benefits of yoga can last a lifetime. This class introduces each child to age and developmentally appropriate yoga poses, breathing exercises, chanting, meditation and relaxation. We incorporate lessons in creativity, self-acceptance, interpersonal skills, positive thinking, personal & environmental awareness and (most of all) fun, which offer you and your kids positive tools for your everyday lives.
